DataNet releases new DC Elections Board Website

DataNet Systems Corp., a boutique IT services firm specializing in web development, launched the new www.dcboee.org for the District of Columbia’s Board of Elections and Ethics, an independent agency of the District government.

The fresh new design sets the BOEE apart from the District of Columbia government website, emphasizing its independent agency status, but still maintains graphic design elements that link it to www.dc.gov. Furthermore, the new website was designed to allow more interactivity with citizens and allow its citizens to more easily access and retrieve the information that they need. Elements of this new design include:

  • An events calendar
  • Google custom search
  • Drop-downs throughout the site
  • Incorporation of previous citizen-centric tools such as the Maps and Polling Place Locator
  • A usability engineered homepage that allows for quick access to information
